THIS IS A MANUAL LABOR VERY PHYSICAL JOB THAT INVOLVES CLIMBING ON LADDERS, USING HIGH PRESSURE STEAM CLEANERS AND REMOVING HEAVY GREASE FROM COMMERCIAL KITCHEN EXHAUST SYSTEMS.

TECHS WORK AN AVERAGE OF 55 HOURS PER WEEK AND THE WORK IS PRIMARILY LATE NIGHT.

Oregon Hood Cleaning provides certified kitchen exhaust hood cleaning throughout Oregon and Washington. We are seeking hard working, quality minded individuals for full time / year round employment. This position requires no previous experience but experience with any type of commercial cleaning is a plus. Our work is typically performed between the hours of 5pm and 8am the next day. Training will be provided.

YOU MUST LIVE IN OR NEAR THE SALEM AREA.
YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE
(with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years - no DUI.)

We are looking for individuals seeking long term employment willing to work hard and be well compensated.

Our average Hood Cleaning Technician will make over $50,000 per year.

Job Requirements:

  • Good communication skills, bilingual is a plus.
  • Valid drivers license with no more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years, no DUI.
  • Willingness to work more than 40 hours per week (including drive time).
  • Willingness to travel throughout Oregon and Washington, with overnight accommodations and meals provided.
  • Ability to do the job right the first time keeping our customers happy.
  • You must have reliable transportation to and from work.

Job Duties:

  • Drive company truck to job sites.
  • Communicate with restaurant staff.
  • Prepare and clean commercial kitchen exhaust systems (including hoods, duct work, filters, and exhaust fans) to our standards using high pressure steam, chemicals and manual scraping.
  • Ability and willingness to carry up to 50lbs, climb ladders.
  • Work without direct supervision and complete task on time.
  • Monitor company equipment and trucks and report any mechanical issues.
  • Help train new employees.
